Noble Root is seeking an experienced Client Experience & Sales Manager to build trusted client relationships and guide regenerative landscape projects from first conversation through installation. This leadership role combines consultative sales, estimating, and operational leadership. You'll help clients bring their vision to life while ensuring projects are organized, crews stay productive, and every landscape reflects the quality and care Noble Root is known for.

Role Summary
This role is approximately 70% client experience and consultative sales and 30% project management. You'll build trusted client relationships while owning project delivery from contract through completion, including production scheduling, crew coordination, and client communication. Success requires strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to proactively coordinate multiple projects, people, and priorities at the same time.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Relationship Management (70%)
Lead homeowners through the entire client journey, from initial inquiry through project completion and ongoing stewardship opportunities.
Own the sales pipeline by qualifying leads, maintaining timely follow-up, tracking opportunities, and moving projects forward through thoughtful consultation and clear next steps.
Conduct landscape consultations to understand each client's goals, lifestyle, priorities, budget, and vision while providing informed recommendations for enhancements, design and installation transformations, and ecological stewardship.
Recommend the services that best align with each client's needs, property, and long-term goals.
Prepare and present accurate estimates, proposals, and project recommendations.
Educate clients about ecological landscaping, regenerative design, plant selection, and long-term land care.
Build trusted relationships through responsive communication, personalized follow-through, and exceptional service.
Close projects while always acting in the client's best interest and ensuring alignment between client goals and Noble Root's approach.
Achieve sales targets and key performance indicators that support company growth goals while maintaining a relationship-based, consultative sales approach.
Develop relationships that support repeat business, referrals, and long-term client stewardship.
Field Operations Leadership + Project Management (30%)
Own the production schedule, ensuring crews remain productive, workloads stay balanced, projects are installation-ready, and client expectations are consistently met.
Coordinate schedules and communication between designers, field teams, clients, vendors, and construction partners.
Supervise and support the Crew Leader through project planning, scheduling, regular communication, project debriefs, quality expectations, and problem solving.
Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and installation plans while maintaining project profitability.
Monitor project budgets and identify opportunities or challenges before they impact profitability or client experience.
Anticipate scheduling conflicts, material delays, weather impacts, and field challenges before they become client issues.
Maintain clear communication with clients throughout construction, providing updates and managing expectations.
Conduct site visits to ensure quality, answer questions, and support successful project execution.
Complete final walkthroughs and ensure every project reflects Noble Root's standards.
Collaborate with designers to ensure projects are aligned with client goals, ecological principles, and installation requirements.
Coordinate with trusted construction partners on projects involving hardscape, irrigation, or specialty construction.
Improve systems, communication, and workflows that strengthen both the client experience and company operations.

Qualifications
Two or more years of experience in landscape sales, design-build, construction sales, project management, client relations, or a similar consultative role.
Demonstrated success building relationships and guiding clients through high-value projects.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional organization
Knowledge of PNW plants, including native species, edible plants, pollinator-supporting plants, and ornamental landscapes.
Passion for ecological landscaping, regenerative design, and permaculture principles
Experience preparing estimates, proposals, budgets, and project schedules.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a growing team.
Preferred
Experience leading field personnel or coordinating installation teams.
Knowledge of residential construction sequencing and landscape installation.
Experience working with discerning residential clients.
Requirements
Reside within the Portland metro or Vancouver area with the ability to travel to client consultations and project sites throughout the service area in a reasonable timeframe.
Valid driver's license, clean driving record, reliable personal vehicle, and proof of insurance.
Home office with reliable high-speed internet for video meetings and remote work.
Ability to walk active construction sites over uneven terrain and work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and safely load, unload, or move landscape materials as needed.
Comfortable using Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM/project management software, and mobile technology to manage client communications and schedules.
Compensation & Benefits
$28 to $34 per hour base rate DOE plus performance-based commission.
