Job Title: Landscape Project Manager

Location: Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas. WFH & Field Position.

We believe that conservation begins at home and no matter the size, yards can provide significant gains for the environment. Our mission is to create beautiful, sustainable, and productive outdoor spaces that benefit people, pollinators, and plants with purpose. We serve residential clients with a focus on landscape design, installation, and raised bed kitchen gardens. We provide a high-touch experience to ensure clients feel supported throughout the entire process, from design to harvest.

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and experienced Landscape Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring a seamless transition from design to installation, creating installation estimates and leading sales conversations with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Oversee the transition from landscape design to installation, ensuring all projects are executed according to plan, on schedule and budget.

·         Conduct site assessments and develop accurate installation estimates.

·         Lead sales conversations with clients, providing expert advice and building strong relationships.

·         Collaborate with the design team to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

·         Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project completion.

·         Coordinate with subcontractors, supervise installation crews, and provide on-site direction, guidance, and support.

·         Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, best practices, and local regulations. Recommend products and suppliers to further reduce our environmental impact and supply chain carbon footprint.

·         Job cost each project and submit expense documentation.

·         Provide high-touch client support, ensuring clear and effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.

·         Address and resolve conflicts diplomatically with subcontractors, employees, and clients to ensure client satisfaction and high-quality installations.

·         Network and cultivate new relationships with subcontractors and vendors.

·         Utilize project management software and time tracking apps.

·         Maintain a neat, clean, safe, and enjoyable jobsite and work atmosphere.

Qualifications:

·         Proven experience in landscape project management and sales, preferably in the edible and ecological landscaping industry.

·         Strong knowledge of landscape design principles, installation techniques, regenerative practices, and planting techniques.

·         Able to read and interpret CAD landscape designs and planting plans.

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members.

·         Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

·         Proficient in using project management software and tools.

·         Comfortable discussing project costs and handling financial aspects of sales.

·         Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

·         LCB license or willingness to obtain it within the first six months of employment.

·         Have a suitable remote work location in the Portland or Vancouver area.

·         Physical demands associated with this position may include walking, bending, lifting, and transporting heavy materials.

·         Able to work in extreme weather conditions and a range of temperatures.

·         Follow safety protocol when using tools and equipment.

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of ecology, permaculture, habitat restoration, and regenerative practices.

  • Able to identify native plants, edible plants, and noxious weeds.

  • Experience growing food and/or herbal medicine.

Job Title: Marketing & Office Coordinator

Location: Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington areas. WFH & Field Position. Part-time.

Job Description: We are seeking a creative, motivated, self-starter with a passion for plants, ecology, and content creation to promote the design & build of residential habitats for pollinators, organic yard-to-table meals, and outdoor living spaces. This entry-level position starts part-time with room to grow full-time.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide welcoming and professional communications by email, phone, and text to ensure a positive and top-notch client and vendor experience.

  • Visit residential projects in OR and WA to document, organize, and catalog projects with photos/video for marketing and storytelling purposes.

  • Create and schedule compelling social media content. Promote before and after transformations on social media and website, with an emphasis on video/Reels.

  • Write content for social media and website for storytelling purposes and to showcase edible, medicinal, and native plants growing in the Willamette Valley.

  • Create a monthly e-newsletter to educate and engage prospective clients.

  • Maintain the website and create new pages to acquire emails and increase pipeline (Squarespace).

  • Manage the Google Business page, review process, and other online profiles.

  • Create, order, and schedule marketing materials in collaboration with the team (digital ads, promotional materials, apparel and swag)

  • Contribute ideas to grow online presence and local impact by increasing leads.

  • Provide office and project coordination support by purchasing, scheduling, and ordering materials. Track expenses and enter data for payments.

  • Use project management software and compile project info for consultations.

  • Troubleshoot technology and work with customer support.

  • Provide other administrative support to the team and run errands as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in content creation and social media marketing techniques, with emphasis on video/Reels and storytelling.

  • Familiar with local flora (west side of Cascades, emphasis on Willamette Valley) and principles of ecology.

  • Creative, self-directed, motivated, organized, and works well independently.

  • Customer-service oriented, demonstrates professionalism in the office and field.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient with technology (MS Office Suite) and quick to learn new software

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Marketing & Communication or related field

  • Strong visual and storytelling skills

  • Experience growing food. Knowledge of herbal medicine and permaculture.

  • Understanding of ecology, backyard habitat, and habitat restoration practices.

Requirements

  • Have a suitable WFH location in the Portland and Vancouver service areas.

  • Have a personal vehicle and valid state driver’s license.

  • Able to work in extreme weather conditions and a range of temperatures.

Benefits & Compensation

This is a part-time position starting at 20 hours/week with room to grow into full-time with benefits. Hourly rate $20-23/hour. Part-time benefits include:
