FOUNDER, CONSULTANT & LICENSED LANDSCAPE CONTRACTOR

Nicole brings over 30 years of hands-on experience growing food, flowers, herbs, and medicinal plants. As a certified Garden Consultant, Licensed Landscape Contractor, and former field botanist, she brings deep ecological knowledge and a holistic approach to every project. Her academic foundation includes a B.S. in Ecology & Resource Management, an MBA, and advanced training in Social Innovation—uniting science, sustainability, and entrepreneurial leadership.

Rooted in a lifelong passion for plants, organic food, and natural medicine, Nicole’s work is deeply informed by ethnobotany—the study of how cultures use plants for nourishment, healing, shelter, and ritual. She has traveled to 21 countries, working and volunteering on farms while exploring biodiversity, cultural traditions, and plant-rich landscapes—from the Amazon jungle to alpine meadows.

In the Pacific Northwest, Nicole led native plant restoration projects and conducted field surveys for endangered and culturally significant species.

Outside the garden, Nicole finds inspiration in trail running, meditation, yoga, backpacking, and time in wild places. Her work is grounded in purpose and guided by a simple belief: landscapes can nourish body, soul, and ecosystem—and leave a legacy of abundance.

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER & SYSTEMS ASSOCIATE

Rachel is passionate about helping clients bring their garden dreams to life through thoughtful design development and beautifully rendered plans. Rachel has been a landscape designer in the Portland area since 2017. With a degree in Landscape Design and a B.S. in Chemistry, she applies art and science to create garden oases that nurture people and pollinators.

Rachel grew up in Alaska, where she developed a love of nature at an early age. In her free time, she loves to curl up with a good book, work in her garden, try new recipes, kayak, cycle, camp, and try new things!

LANDSCAPE DESIGNER & INSTALL ASSOCIATE

Brittney loves turning outdoor spaces into living works of art where people, plants, and pollinators thrive together. With degrees in Landscape Architecture and Interior Design, she has been transforming lawns and landscapes into nature oases for three years. She is passionately devoted to native plants and creates gardens that are sustainable, firewise, and designed to nurture both people and wildlife.

Brittney has always loved exploring the outdoors and learning about the plants and animals around her. When she’s not designing, she can be found hiking, hunting for new species to add to her iNaturalist log, tending to her ever-growing cactus collection, building Legos, experimenting in the kitchen, or goofing around with her cat, Gertie. 

INSTALL LEAD & PROJECT MANAGER

Taylor brings together her background in design and her deep knowledge of plants to create landscapes that are both functional and beautiful. She is especially passionate about transforming urban neighborhoods into welcoming habitats where birds, pollinators, and people can thrive together. With a thoughtful eye for detail and a love of collaboration, Taylor ensures that every project she leads is both sustainable and inspiring.

Outside of work Taylor enjoys creating art in many forms. She makes stained glass, sews her own clothes, and crafts jewelry. She also finds joy in the outdoors, whether hiking along forest trails, camping under the stars, or tending to her own garden at home.

MARKETING & OFFICE COORDINATOR

Miranda is a creative marketing professional with a passion for sustainability, blending her skills in graphic design, photography, and organization to support eco-friendly businesses. With experience working in green industries, she is excited to continue making a positive impact through thoughtful marketing and efficient office coordination.

She loves the beauty of the Pacific Northwest and spends her free time hiking, paddleboarding with her family, practicing yoga, and nurturing her growing garden. A novice gardener, she takes pride in her thriving strawberries, encourages her baby apple and plum trees to flourish, and enjoys watching her raspberries and blueberries grow.

BOOKKEEPER

Kristen has over 20 years of experience bookkeeping in QuickBooks with both certified and hands-on training. When she’s not crunching numbers, you can find her getting outside to walk a new trail in the city, swimming at the gym/a river, or meeting up with friends at a new coffee shop. She loves cooking healthy and likes the challenge of finding new foods and recipes to follow a Paleo diet. She also spends her free time supporting women to help them improve their relationships. She lives in the Vancouver, WA area.
