About
We believe that conservation begins at home and no matter the size, yards can provide significant gains for the environment. At Noble Root, it is our mission to transform yards into vibrant habitats that nourish people, pollinators, and wildlife. And our superior customer service means you’ll never be left stranded.
We are committed to providing a top-notch experience and growing a garden family along the way.
Our Commitment to Sustainability & Wellness
We are committed to regenerative, organic gardening practices; we will never use or recommend any chemical or pesticide “solution”. Conventional agricultural methods like the application of biocides, and growing in rows, have no place in a home garden. We will happily remove your lawn and replace it with a raised bed kitchen garden or native plants for an environmental advantage.

Nicole Spencer (she/her)
FOUNDER & CONSULTANT
Nicole has 30 years of experience growing food, flowers, herbs, and medicine. She is a certified Garden Consultant and Licensed Landscape Contractor. She has a B.S. in Ecology & Resource Management, a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), and a graduate certificate in Social Innovation & Entrepreneurialism.
Drawn to natural medicine, Nicole studied herbalism as an apprentice and crafted a variety of concoctions straight from her garden. She volunteered on an olive farm in southern Spain, and in a kitchen garden at a meditation retreat center on the Canary Islands. Here she learned biodynamic, intensive farming practices and how to grow enough food to feed a community on a small plot of land.
After returning to the States, Nicole pursued her love of plants managing native plant restoration projects, conducting field surveys for endangered and culturally significant plants, and eradicating noxious weeds.
A lifelong learner, Nicole experimented with gardening methods over the years, growing flowers, medicinal herbs, berries, and vegetables in her own backyard kitchen garden. Outside the garden, she enjoys trail running, meditation, yoga, and paddle boarding. She is a naturalist who finds inspiration and serenity backpacking deep into the wilderness.

What People Are Saying
“I never thought working in the garden could be so much fun! We worked on trimming my grapevines and it turned into an amazing educational experience for me, learning about fertilizer, organic pest control, heat needs for grapes and how to help my vines thrive. It was so that the time flew by. Would absolutely recommend Noble Root for all your garden needs.
